Denis Vachon –Trampoline and Tumbling Program Coordinator
Denis has been leading the Trampoline and Tumbling program at the BG’s since the Summer of 2005. Under his guidance, the program has produced over a dozen National Team members while achieving 20 National titles, 3 World medals and a World title!
Denis is a level 4 NCCP certified coach, the highest certification awarded to Canadian Gymnastics Coaches, a member of the Gymnastics Ontario Technical Committee as well as the Tumbling Team Advisor at Gymnastics Canada. He is also a 4 time World medalist in double-mini trampoline and holds the record of most consecutive Canadian Senior Tumbling titles.
Bianca Pye – Competitive Trampoline Coach
Bianca, who recently moved from Calgary to the GTA, is the newest addition to the BG’s Team. She is an NCCP level 2 coach who is bringing her expertise to the Interclub and Provincial Trampoline program. She is an experienced athlete who represented Team Canada at the 2011 World Age Group Championships in double- mini trampoline and also competed nationally in all trampoline sports for Team Alberta.
David Findlay – Provincial Tumbling Coach
David has been an assistant tumbling coach to the Provincial Program since 2008. As a NCCP level 2 coach, he works strictly on the Provincial tumblers development program. David himself is a product of the Burlington program and is the 2010 Pan American Champion as well as the 2010 National Champion in tumbling. He is currently training to make the 2012 World Team for Tumbling.
Sean Robertson – Interclub/Provincial Tumbling Coach
Sean has been coaching in the Tumbling program since 2010. He is a NCCP level 2 coach who is diligently working towards completing his level 3 certification. Sean is one of the most successful products of the tumbling program from the last decade in Canada for his age group. He is the 2010 Pan American Champion for his age group and placed in the top 8 at the 2010 and the 2011 World Age Group Championships. An outstanding Junior athlete, he is currently working towards qualifying for the Senior National Team while helping inspire our future generation of athletes in both the Tumbling and double-mini trampoline programs.
Rebecca Zachar – Interclub Tumbling Coach
Rebecca is in her second year as an Interclub Tumbling coach. She is an NCCP level 2 coachwho applies her 15+ years of gymnastics training to her classes. She is an accomplished athlete having placed 3rd at the 2012 National Championships and also having represented team Canada at the 2010 World Age Group Championships!
Bill Perkins – National Double-Mini Coach
Bill has been affiliated with the Burlington BG’s since the mid 1980’s. He is Canada’s most successful double-mini trampoline coach and has produced 2 individual World Champions and a handful more World’s medalists. He has been the Team Canada National coach for too many events to mention and has also played a big part in the development of the trampoline sports through his time spent as a volunteer on the Gymnastics Canada Board of Directors and the Gymnastics Ontario Technical Committee. He is a true pioneer who has volunteered numerous hours and years in the sport and we are truly thrilled to call him our own!
